1. Donor Privacy & Anonymous Contributions
The Michigan Mudbowl Club is committed to protecting the privacy of our supporters, student participants, and alumni. When you make a donation to the Mudbowl Campaign through our payment processor (Givebutter), you may choose to have your donation listed as "Anonymous".
In accordance with our strict data governance policy, anonymous designations are strictly respected across all public feeds, leaderboards, and administrative reporting interfaces. We never sell, trade, or share donor contact information.
2. Payment Information & Processing
The EMS platform does not collect, process, or store payment card details, bank account numbers, or PCI-sensitive data. All financial transactions are processed securely through Givebutter's Level 1 PCI-compliant checkout infrastructure.
3. Participant, Roster & Event Communications Data
For tournament athletes, team captains, and Greek chapter representatives who join a registered team, we collect University of Michigan email addresses, names, Student ID (MCard) verification evidence, and digital waiver audit metadata (timestamps and IP addresses) for event administration, insurance, eligibility verification, on-field safety compliance, and official event & charitable fundraising communications.
Verified team participants receive essential operational event notices (such as waiver, MCard, roster lock, and game-day check-in instructions) as well as official Michigan Mudbowl fundraising and community email updates (Mudbowl Pulse and Mudbowl Rally) supporting C.S. Mott Children's Hospital and the U-M Rogel Cancer Center under policy MMC_COMMS_POLICY_2026_V1 / MMC_JOIN_DISCLOSURE_2026_V2. Participants may opt out of promotional and fundraising emails at any time via the one-click unsubscribe link in every email or the Communication Preferences Portal without affecting their team membership or operational safety notices.
